When we were asked to design a logo that would reflect the eclectically chill, inventive, and spontaneously curious Tacocat dining experience, we pounced on the opportunity.
Our discovery meetings included a trip to the FHHG headquarters to absorb a vast wall of inspiration. We were also influenced by our many visits to the future Tacocat home: a vintage auto repair shop soon-to-be ultra-chill urban taqueria and tequila bar.

Inspired by the owner’s affinity for the Grateful Dead, we incorporated the signature skull and lightning bolt. We also included Day of the Dead details on the cat head, a taco for a sombrero garnished with chips along the edge, and a thick handlebar mustache. The type-treatment is a bold, custom destination marque which can be displayed in multiple orientations and variations.
From it’s retro 70’s arcade stripes, soft metro-industrial structural frame, and dreamy suburban patio vibes to authentic Mexican street fare and exotic libations served in novelty drinkware, Tacocat is all that and a basket of chips.
Tacocat is NOW OPEN at 208 10th Street. Tell them The KRU sent you.
